Carol was born and raised in New Jersey and still resides there with her husband, Joe. She has two children, three stepchildren, six grandsons and one granddaughter who are spread out all over the country- Utah, Arizona, Tennessee and Long Island, NY. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and relaxing at their second home near the beach in Lewes, Delaware.
Carol has published three books in her career as a children's book author.
Her first memory of reading was the red, blue and yellow Dick and Jane books and the Alice and Jerry books in first grade. She has memories of many books: Pokey Little Puppy, The Cat in the Hat books, Charlotte's Web, Nancy Drew, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle and, most likely, Winnie the Pooh inspired her love of teddy bears and pandas. Still a child at heart, even now, Carol has a large collection of teddy bears and stuffed pandas.
Rhythm and rhyme are like music without the tune. Children love rhythm and rhyme, and so does Carol. She remembers not only that she loved to read books; she loved making books. She was always busy putting books together for book reports or other types of reports. Sometimes she would bind them with yarn to hold the pages together or fasten the whole book together with large rings.
After retirement from Rutgers University, Carol became CEO of MetroCom Solutions Inc., a telecommunications company which she and her husband started in 1998. In 2001 Carol enrolled in college and five years later completed her B.S. in Holistic Nutrition. She is now retired and when she is not writing, she is reading, crocheting, doing ceramics and enjoying life.
Carol is a member of the New Jersey Children's Writer's Guild and The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
